The best intake for the Ford Focus just got better! Our new Cool-Flo Race system now fits all 2.0L & 2.3L Duratec from 2003-2009. This is a true "cold air" intake system that situates an ITG air filter in the lower front region of the car, away from ALL engine heat. The New Cool-Flo Race system utilizes a easier to install one piece design 3" mandrel bent steel tubing along with laser cut MAF housing and bracketry. Other features include all tig-welded construction and now coated with your choice of silver powdercoat or black wrinkle powdercoat.

FocusSport™ 2.0L Zetec Cool-Flo™ Air Intake System
FocusSport is proud to offer the Cool-Flo air intake system. Don't be fooled by other systems offering no protection from engine heat. This unit comes complete with our heat shield and rubber seal that meets up with the hood to reduce the surrounding air intake temperature by as much as 50% when compared to our competitor's versions. By reducing intake temperatures we are able to take advantage of the cooler (more dense) air resulting in improved throttle response, better combustion, and more power.
Included with the kit is the FocusSport heat shield with rubber seal, and an Induction Technology Group, Ltd. air filter which features cutting edge technology derived from Formula 1, WRC/F2 Rally, and BTCC. Also included are a breather filter,connecting hose, installation hardware, and installation instructions. Factory mounting points are utilized for installation without the need for permanent modification or fabrication.

How often should I clean my filter?
Maxogen filters that are exposed without protection in the engine bay, fitted either directly to air flow meters, will need regular inspection every other month to make sure that they are still in well oiled condition. Depending on where they are situated and how much work they have to do will depend on how many times a year you will have to wash and re oil them. We would suggest that due to their close proximity to the engine and the possibility of the oil drying out through the air flow and radiant heat that they are cleaned on a regular 6 monthly basis or more frequently depending on how much use or how dirty they get.
